How British Airways is helping combat climate change
Over 170 War on Waste members, playing a key role in promoting best practice and identifying new ways to improve recycling and waste reduction throughout the entire cabin crew team.
They’ve pledged to remove a quarter of a billion single-use plastic items from flights by the end of 2020. They’ve also made changes such as using bamboo alternatives to plastic stirrers for example, and replacing plastic wrapping for headsets and blankets with paper wrapping instead.
They committed in 2019 to achieving net zero carbon emissions by the year 2050.
