Did you know? At the beginning of WW1 in 1914, Henry Royce (Founder of Rolls-Royce) designed his first aero engine, ‘The Eagle’. Which provided some of the total horsepower used in the air war. It also powered the first ever transatlantic flight!

Including a 12-month internship, 10-week summer internship, and even a 6-month internship to do around your university studies - super helpful!  

All you need is a strong passion for the future of sustainable power, a curious, open mind with a creative approach to solving problems, and of course be eager to learn.    

If you’re keen on data, technology and artificial intelligence, they are now also offering a virtual course: Diversity Traineeship, partnered with Derby College. Aimed at helping people in the age range of 19-24 become apprenticeship ready, by strengthening their skills in the basics of maths, english and science, as well as employability skills like help with writing your CV, as well as tips and tricks for interviews. Along with getting a taste of the industry within work experience at Rolls-Royce.

Application requirements for Diversity Traineeship

  •  Must be from one of the under-represented groups, be in the age range of 19-24, unemployed and have little or no work experience.

  • Eligible to work in the UK.

  • Must have GCSE Maths and English Language (at any grade), plus one other GCSE at grade C (Level 4), in any given subject.
